***They say that if you depend on the praise of others a lot in your life then you are more likely to be unhappy because not everyone is going to praise you.*** Caring too much about the approval and commendation of other people for whatever you do puts your happiness in the hands of those people, to an extent.

When it comes to personal choices, I don't expect anyone to give me the nod or thumbs up when I make them. I make the decisions because I think they are in my best interest, not because I think people will love them. Whether they like it or not, I know that I will commend myself for having made the choices, because they are personal.
