A Gift for my books| 5% for SL Charity.

I started reading a new novel today but discovered that I have run out my bookmarks. Bookmarks are something that I really need, yet I lose them easily. When I started reading a book, I move from a chair to chair and a room to room. So I usually forget where I kept my bookmarks, when I stopped reading. And sometimes if I found a bookmark which I like so much, I try to keep it in a safe place to use it later – and then I forgot where I kept them when I needed them. Thus, no matter how many bookmarks I had, I always run out of them. It was like that today also as I couldn’t find any of my bookmarks. So I thought of making some bookmarks by myself.

First I wanted to plan how my bookmark should look like but there were no rough sheets on my table but some unused tissues. So I took one tissue from it and drew on it to take a clear idea about how to make my bookmarks.

I thought of using my fav bt21 character and one of my fav lyrics from songs to make the bookmarks. I knew that one of my besties who is also a fan of bt21 would definitely want to have my bookmark if she saw it. Therefore, I thought of making one for each at once, so I don’t need to sacrifice mine for her in the future. Hahaha… So I drew the images on the coloured A4s and cut an extra strip to write my quote on. I cut some extra tiny strips also to make something rectangular to give it a shape of a bookmark.

I pasted the strips on L shape- two in each side. Then I folded the right corner strip into middle and then the left corner strip to the middle. I got a nice rectangle shape with a little design on it.

Then I attached my bt21 image in one corner and the strip and the rectangular design on the other end, with wool.

While I was on it, I thought of making two extra bookmarks also, because it’s kinda pleasing to have my own handmade bookmarks.

They were not that perfect, nonetheless I am happy because I made them the way I want with my fav characters and the quotes.
