<h2>Status: </h2>spring vagrant and rare species.
<h2>Voice:</h2> bubbling, ringing disyllabic “prr-ipp”
<h2>Length:</h2> It ranges from 28-30 cm.

<h2>Wingspan:</h2> It ranges from 46-48 cm.
<h2>Habitat: </h2>They live in open, arid terrain, usually close to water.
<h2>Behaviour: </h2>Perches on prominent branches. They are attractively marked and aerobatic bee-eater.
<h2>Sexes: </h2>They have similar sexes.

Adult plumage essentially green although appears bluish on rump and lower back. Head markings distinctive. They have black eye stripe and white forehead grading to sky-blue supercilium, cheeks sky blue and throat is yellow, grading to orange-red. Tail streamers extremely long, at least twice length of those of bee-eater. Juvenile like adult but plumage duller and tail streamers much shorter.
