**안녕하세요. 아이작입니다.**

오늘도 어김없이 전철로 이동하는 중에 포스팅을 하게 되네요. 컴퓨터 앞에 앉아 키보드를 두들기면, 그리 오랜 시간이 걸리지 않는데 반해 작은 화면을 보며, 오타를 지워나가는데 오랜 시간이 걸리더라도 왠지 공짜로 얻은 시간인 마냥 기분은 더 좋네요.

평소 바쁘다는 핑계로 짧은 글만 썼는데, 지금 저에게 주어진 시간은 대략 1시간이기에 조금 길게(?) 써볼까 합니다. (제 기준에서는 충분히 긴 글이지만, 다른 분들에게는 짧을 수도 있겠네요.)

그리고 제가 길게 썼다고 해서 내용이 좋다고는 보장할 수 없다는 점 참고해주셨으면 합니다.

제목에도 적어놨듯이 오늘은 팔로워에 대한 이야기를 적어볼까 합니다. 왜 팔로우가 중요하고, 다른 사람들이 내 글에는 찾아오지 않는지....

페이스북에는 친구신청, 인스타그램에는 팔로우가 있어 서로 소통할 수 있는 계기를 만들 수 있습니다. 스팀잇이서도 팔로우 시스템이 있어 스티미언 간의 소통을 돕고 있습니다. 하지만 이 팔로우 시스템과 피드 덕분에 우리의 시야가 점점 좁아지고 있습니다.

작년 7월쯤, 액티브 유저가 대략 300명쯤 되던 시절 저는 KR 커뮤니티에 올라온 글을 매일매일 거의 다 읽곤 했습니다. 시간적 여유도 있었고, 올해에 비해 한 살 어렸기 때문에 체력적 여유도 있었으며, 무엇보다도 모든 글을 읽을 수 있다는 확신이 있었기에 가능하지 않았나 싶습니다.

하지만 지금은 기존에 활동하시던 분들은 더 활발한 활동을 하고, 신규 유저분들은 꾸준한 유입으로 인해 많은 글이 KR커뮤니티에 올라오고 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 신규 스티미언의 좋은 글(모든 글이 좋은 글이지만, 이 글에서는 제가 관심있는 분야를 칭하도록 하겠습니다.)을 항상 놓쳐 누군가의 리스팀을 통해 늦게 확인하곤 합니다. 지금까지도 놓치고 있을 수도 있겠네요.

왜 이런 현상이 발생하는지, 대부분의 스티미언 분들이 아시겠지만, 현재 스팀잇에 접속하면 기본 페이지가 피드로 설정되어 있고, 여유 시간 내에 그 피드의 글조차 모두 소화해낼 수 없습니다. 그러니 New에 올라오는 글은 관심이 없는 게 아니라 시간적 여유가 없기 때문에 읽지 못하게 됩니다. 다행히도 jjangjjangman 제도와 많은 뉴비 지원 시스템으로 묻혀 가거나, 스팀잇에서 이탈하시려는 분들의 마음을 돌리고 있습니다.

만약 누군가의 팔로워였다면?! 혹은 많은 사람이 팔로우를 했다면 결과는 달랐을 것입니다.

작년부터 활동하시던 분들은 지금 스팀잇을 시작하시는 분들보다 한 걸음이 아니라 몇 걸음 더 앞에서 시작하고 계십니다. 그 분들이 그동안 모아오신 스팀파워도 한 몫 하겠지만, 그것보다 더 중요한 것은 끈끈한 팔로워 때문입니다. 

그 당시 프로필 사진만 봐도 아이디가 떠오를 만큼 활동하시는 분이 적었기에 굳이 팔로우를 하지 않아도(피드에 올라오지 않아도) 글을 접할 수 있었으며, 어느새 서로 팔로우 관계로 발전하게 되었고, 그 관계는 현재 큰 힘을 발휘하고 있고, 앞으로는 더 큰 힘을 발휘할 것입니다.

그에 반해 지금은 소통을 하며, 팔로워를 만들어나가는 과정이 많이 힘들 수 있습니다. 아니, 힘듭니다. 상대방 역시도 모든 스티미언을 팔로우할 수 없기에 마음이 통하거나 혹은 관심있는 글을 쓰는 분들에게 팔로우 버튼이 갈 수밖에 없으니까요.

하지만 단순한 목적으로 맺어진 팔로우보다는 오랜 시간 소통을 통해 맺어진 팔로워는 끈끈한 인연이 되어 추후 무엇과도 바꿀 수 없는 소중한 것이 되어 있을 거라 믿어 의심치 않습니다.

그래서 제가 하고 싶은 말은 팔로워 수를 무작정 늘리는데, 노력하는 것보다 스팀잇에서 오래도록 함께할 수 있는 팔로워를 만들어야 한다는 것입니다. 다들 아시겠지만, 스팀잇에는 좋은 분들이 너무 많습니다. 현실보다 더 좋은 인연을 이 곳, 스팀잇에서 만들어나갈 수 있다고 생각합니다.

전철에서 작성하다보니, 두서없이 작성된 것 같은데, 집에 가면 다시 한 번 읽어보고 수정해보려고 합니다.

정말 몇 개월 전만해도 프로필만 보면 다 알았죠 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ. 어떨때는 하루 뒤에 들어와도 피드에 똑같은 글이 떠 있어서 kr  들어가서 new를 눌러보고 새 글이 없나 계속 새로고침을 했었지요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

팔로워가 많은게 좋긴 하지만 다 기억하는게 너무 힘들어서 아직 150정도 되는 팔로워 밖에 안되는 숫자긴 하지만 요즘은 제가 기억하고 찾아갈 수 있을정도로 조금씩 늘려가고 있어요. 전.. 스티밋을 오래오래 할꺼니깐요~ ㅎㅎㅎ

저도 그당시 임대받아서 거의 모든 kr-newbie글들을 짬짬히 읽으며 보팅했던 기억이 납니다... 이젠 불가능하지만요...ㅋ 스팀잇 내 제가 모르는 이야기도 너무 많구요.
그만큼 스팀잇이 컸다는 이야기가 아닐까 싶습니다.
그리고 최근에 스팀챗을 뒤져보다보니 활동을 정지할때쯤 한번 저에게 스팀챗을 거신적이 있으셨더군요... 이게 따로 저한테 알람이 안와가지고 의도치않게 답변못한점 죄송합니다-_ㅠ..

스티밋에 가입한지 20일여일 된 뉴비인데요~
아직 100팔로워도 만들지 못했어요 ㅠㅠ
하지만 제생각도 무작정 팔로워를 늘리기 보단 진정한 팔로워를 만드는게 중요한것 같아요
그게 말처럼 쉬운게 아니지만 자주 소통하다보면

맞아요- 
지금 150팔로워 이벤트 중인데 하루만에 100명 가까이 늘었더라구요.. 
그런데 그걸 보면서 기쁘기도했지만 무섭기도 해요. 
거품같기도 하고 금방 사라져버릴 신기루 같기도하고...
 결국 제대로 된 관계를 형성시키는 것이 중요할 것 같아요:) 
노력과 시간이, 그리고 진심이 필요하겠죠-

자주 보고 눈에 익은 사람들의 글에 더 시선이 가는건 어쩔 수 없는 일이겠죠
스팀잇이 그래서 더 소통이 중요한 거 같아요
팔로우 수가 적은데도 불구하고 글이 넘쳐나다보니 무심코 지나쳐버리는 경우가 많네요
하물며 kr에 엄청난 속도로 올라오는 글은 거의 대부분 놓쳐버리기 일수죠

그런데 팔로워가 늘어나면 두둥...!!!
