The series continues for *Same Song Title*. There are a number of songs which has the same title but the huge difference from the lyrics and the meaning is very apparent upon listening to it. 

In this edition, I had chosen the song title "The One". Of course, it doesn't include the Jet Li film because it's a movie. But there are a number of songs with this title, and I had picked four from them. Here are those songs:

The Chainsmokers- The One

It is a breather to hear The Chainsmokers tone down from heavy dancey tunes to a ballad with this track. It is such a heartbreaking song  as it is about ending the relationship which the guy thinks it should be but prefers the other party to end it up. 

It was not released as an official single, but as promotional yet it charted in the US at #78 while it reached #63 position in UK.

Shakira- The One

When I heard this song from Shakira, I thought it will become the next big hit ballad after "Underneath Your Clothes" yet it was only released as a European single and it didn't perform that well there. 

This lovely ballad is about the girl giving her declaration of love to the guy, which she only needs in her life.

Mary J. Blige and Drake- The One

Mary J. Blige went back to do upbeat and dancing on the music video of her "The One" single. She did a collaboration by the most popular rapper today, Drake.

The song is about this girl who convinces the guy to choose her instead of the other girl. The single became a #63 Billboard Hot 100 hit, a low peak compared to her past works.

Backstreet Boys- The One

Let's take a trip to the early days of 2000s when this track hit the shores of radio and music video channels. The Backstreet Boys maintained their being romantic as they promised to the girl to be the  one who will undo all the pains and sorrows the girl feels. 

It was a top 20 hit across Europe and managed a #8 position in the UK, but was a too 30 hit stateside.
