# This is an easy recipe for seaweed soup or "Myeok guk". 
In Japanese it's "wakame".

> It's a simple dish but it's very satisfying and healthy too.

### Seaweed and mushrooms have extreme health benefits. 

***Mushrooms***: have vitamins D, C and B plus nutrients we need daily like selenium (good for detox and youthfulness), potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc boosts immune system and fights cancer

***Seaweed***: have selenium, helps balance hormones, hydrates skin, helps you manage weight, has calcium, zinc, phosphorus and 23-29% daily need of vitamin K. Also has vitamin C, A and E.

This is also meat free so enjoy!

# Ingredients
* Dried seaweed (handful)
* Garlic cloves (6)
* Onions (1 big onion peeeled or 2 small ones)
* Pepper corns
* Salt
* Mushrooms (shitake - but I used button mushrooms)
* Soy sauce

# How to cook:
***This is how it's supposed to be done:***
* Get a small pot and boil garlic cloves (unpeeled and washed), onion (peeled), shitake mushrooms together until the water turns yellow. All we need is the soup so it should be drained and set aside.

***How I did it:***

* We ran out of shitake so I used button mushrooms but I did not boil it since shitake and button mushrooms are different and button mushrooms don't give much flavor vs. shitake.

So, I just boiled the garlic, onion and peppercorns together. The onion roots and garlic is unpeeled (actually you can add unpeeled potatoes and the shitake mushrooms) this will give its flavor and nutrition!

* I soaked dried seaweed in water to make it expand. And there's the can of mushrooms.

* In a new pot, put a little sesame oil (I used coconut oil) and fry the mushrooms and seaweed for about 3 minutes.

* Add the soup you set aside from boiling the garlic+onions+pepper.
* I put salt and soy sauce (put according to taste)

* Mix and let it simmer.
