For some weeks now, I have been promoting https://Utopian.io on Twitter. This involves getting some of the great minds on Twitter to hear about Utopian. In this post, I will be talking about recent efforts I have made for my promotion to be more effective. An ineffective promotion, is no promotion at all.

I have two twitter accounts, one primarily for promotions and the other for playing around Twitter. The one for promotions, I usually send out websites feeds with it. For the purpose of promoting Utopian, I had to deactivate the feeds for some days. That means for the past few days, I have not been sharing website links on my account, thereby pausing my some of my current promotions. I actually get paid to share those links, so I'm making a sacrifice for a greater cause by pausing it.

The tweet was posted less than 48 hours ago. It was tweeted on the 8th of December, 2017.

The tweet was composed in a way that is easy to understand. For Twitter users to get attracted to a tweet, it needs to be really catchy. It is easier to get users to retweets a joke than to retweets a promo tweet. So much work had to be done, I had to sit for some minutes and find the right time to post it. Only few questions were asked after posting, most users just tried to find more information by themselves. The account I used for the promotion has over 276,000 followers across various countries. I have been using the account for promotion for about four years now. I pinned the tweet to my twitter profile, so that it can easily be seen by any twitter (or non twitter) user that visits my page.

When I tweet something, and it gets to many persons, it is really enjoyable for me. Taking a look at the image, the breakdown of the analytics can be seen. The tweet garnered over 7,290 impressions, the total engagement is currently 480 within about 2 days. This engagement includes the 244 retweets, 24 likes, 61 detail expands, 126 link clicks and 13 media engagements.

The analytics of the follow up tweet posted few hours ago, showed it has about 721 impressions and total engagement of 21 with 9 link clicks.

A careful look at the users that liked the tweet showed that they are from different works of life.
