Many chess players prefer the middle game where there are still many pieces available for attacking the opponent's king. But nevertheless it's a fact that very often chess games are decided in the "boring" endgame. Therefore today I will show you an endgame position where I had the white pieces and an advanced passed pawn at a6 waiting to be promoted to a queen. What did white play to get a clear advantage? I want to see at least the next three white moves! :-)

Viele Schachspieler bevorzugen das Mittelspiel, wo ihnen noch viele Figuren zur Verfügung stehen, um den gegnerischen König anzugreifen. Nichtsdestotrotz ist es eine Tatsache, dass sehr viele Partien erst im "langweiligen" Endspiel entschieden werden. Deshalb zeige ich euch heute eine Endspielstellung, in der ich mit Weiß einen weit vorgerückten Freibauern auf a6 hatte, der nur noch darauf wartete, in eine Dame umgewandelt zu werden. Was zog Weiß, um einen klaren Vorteil zu erzielen? Ich möchte mindestens die nächsten drei weißen Züge sehen! :-)

Ist ja nicht so gewesen, als hätte ich nichts zu tun gehabt, @jaki01. Jetzt hänge ich wieder in deinen Problemen. Dabei wollte ich schauen, wie der Planet heißt, was man am frühen Abend im westen zu sehen bekommt. Das Brett ist aufgebaut. Im Kopf bekomme ich das nicht hin.

Haha, nirgendwo steht, dass du augenblicklich meine Schachprobleme zu lösen hast, sobald sie auftauchen ... nimm dir die nötige Zeit, das Schachproblem läuft ja nicht weg. Das einzig wirklich Schlimme, was passieren könnte, wäre, dass der "böse" @freiheit50 oder ein anderer Experte dir zuvorkommt. :-)

Ra7 can move, Kc3 can move. I moved Ra7–a8 and failed. When you move the king forward c3-b4 there will be a drive in game but I don't see any way to win…

You are welcome, but the problem is still not solved! We have:
1. Ra8+ Kxf7
2. a7  2. Ra6
If the white king runs to attack the black rook black will simply go to back to a1 and then gives checks from behind. White can only win with a very special third move:
