The company of British billionaire Richard Branson, Virgin Galactic was the first to venture on July 11 at 8:30 am, rising to more than 80km in a supersonic space plane developed by this company.
<hr>
The crew consisted of Richard Branson accompanied by two pilots of the aircraft carrier: Dave Mackay and Michael Masucci, and three Galactic workers: Beth Moses, Colin Bennett and Sirisha Bandla.
<hr>
This flight allowed the crew to experience weightlessness for a few minutes and the total duration was a little over an hour.
<hr>

A few days later on July 20, one of the richest men in the world, Jeff Bezos accompanied by 3 crew members traveled in the New Shepard capsule at 8:12 am, exceeding the speed of sound managing to reach more than 105 kilometers in height.

The crew enjoyed a few minutes of weightlessness in space as well as the spectacular view of our planet from orbit.
<hr>
As a curious fact, three of the richest men in the world, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk have proposed to conquer space tourism, in a race to achieve the success of travel to promote this option to all those interested in enjoying this excellent adventure and who have the monetary capacity to pay a volley on one of these ships.
<hr>
However, it is scandalously troubling how such economically powerful men focus their resources on this race for space conquest at a time when the planet is going through one of the most delicate moments in its history as humanity.
<hr>
Additionally, it is very important to consider the environmental cost that the planet has had to assume for these space trips.
<hr>

In the case of Richard Branson's trip, according to claims made by [CNN](https://cnnespanol.cnn.com/2021/07/13/opinion-disappointing-space-travel-richard-branson-trax/) claim that:

However, Jeff Bezos claimed that the trip made by him the environmental impact is much less because the ship used hydrogen engines and liquid oxygen, which do not emit carbon.

Despite all the criticisms and questions made to these events, the race for the dominance of space tourism continues and now we are only waiting for Elon Musk's trip planned for the last quarter of this year.

It is clear that the conquest of space tourism is in the hands of private companies and the most powerful men on the planet.
