In a match which  **Federer**  was a favorite, he went on to actually claim victory from his opponent  **Roberto Agut**. However, the game didn’t start the way Federer would have liked as Roberto raced to an early lead leaving Federer to make catch up with him. Due to this fact, Roberto must have been pleased when he won the first set 6-2 against Federer. However, by the time the second set started, Federer started having other ideas.

Like all great matches, there was a hint of controversy, and this came in the set which was to decide it all.  **Agut had played a beautiful forehand game when the tie was still equally placed at about 4-4**. However, the referee to the game was quick to point out that it was out even though it was successful.  **To Agut annoyance, Federer went on to win that set as he quickly broke Agut to take that set 6-4**. This was not all as Agut lost his temper. In a fit of anger, Roberto lashed out at the referee accusing them of having favoritism tendencies toward Roger Federer. He claimed that it was at the crucial moment that the referee made such a blatant mistake.

Speaking later after the match,  **Agut**  claimed that he had Federer where he wanted him, and he went that this was a fantastic opportunity to win him. However, he felt that the referee had other ideas and had influenced the game to suit his tastes.  **Roberto**  explained that after he had fought back from being 30-0 down, that he had felt agitated suddenly with the fact that this was the central moment and he was playing The 20-time grand champion in front of a large crowd.
