Fitness Blog # 1 by JBN : Basics of Mass gaining / Shredding

**Preface**

As promised in my introduction, i am here to tell you about the art of muscle building / shredding. Lets start with the basics. I was oblivious to these terms when i was finishing my high school. I was massively bullied for being too thin (considering i was sporting 45 Kilos on a 6.1 feet tall structure). So when i got out, i realized that i cannot continue like this and i need to transform.

I transformed myself into a 75 Kilo man with clean gains within 6 months. But as i aged, i realized that the difficulty rate of maintaining fitness (mass gaining in my case) has also increased. I won't bore you with the details but it took me long enough collecting bits and pieces before i could actually understand that how does a human body work under transformation. 

**Transformation Composition**

Any type of transformation pivots around 2 things. 

1. **Diet (70%)**
2. **Exercise (30%)**

If you think you can spend countless hours in gym without changing your current diet regime and hoping that you would transform, i am sorry to break it to you. YOU CAN'T.

Current stats : 93 Kilos (205 Pounds), 6.1 Feet, Body Fat% 14

**Body Composition**

A human body consists of following 4 major things:-

1. Protein (constitutes muscle/fibres)
2. Carbohydrates (energy source)
3. Fats (required to protect organs)
4. Water (you won't survive without it)

You can never eliminate one factor completely as each part is essential for the human body. However, you can play around with the composition percentages to best suit your needs. And thats what transformation is all about. 

I am going to omit water from future posts and references as this is the most important part in all kinds of transformations. You need to take as much water as you can to keep your stomach clean. Thats kind of a given.

So coming back to the point, there is no ideal composition equation. It depends on your body type and your choice. A 16% body fat is not too much for me but it might be for you if you are 5.7 or 5.8 feet tall. Just like a 75 Kilos 5.8 feet tall guy would look much more jacked than a 75 kilos 6.2 feet tall guy.

**Conclusion (for Blog # 1)**

In Blog # 2, I will pick up right from here and will tell you about what are the ideal composition equations for a specific fitness regimes. Also, i will tell you about Calories, how to calculate them and what role do they play in your transformation program...

P.S although it may seem like that i have just dished out info that might already be known to most people but i want to reach out to everyone and make sure that no one is left out. This blog # 1 is for all those people.

Please Note :- I am an Engineer and i can only spare like 50 mins for gym per day (4-5 times a week). And i cannot afford protein shakes and whey protein and i have never been supportive of taking these sorts of things. This guide is being compiled specially for those people who feel like that they have full time jobs and cant afford to spend massive amount of money or time doing all this. Good news, You can build a hood physique.. with homemade diet and 45 mins of exercise.. 💪🏻

The best way is to concentrate on the selected area in gym and then eating a well balanced diet so that the fat does not get deposited again..though i always recommend for a full body workout soread throughout the week instead of focusing on one portion continuously.. because human body is very intelligent and it always works better if you do full body workout instead of fatiguing a particular muscle group repeatedly. Hope that it helped.. let me know.. :)
