The Polaris Slingshot SL.
Someone was driving one of these 3 wheeled futuristic cars at work today and I was able to snap a couple of photos.

The Polaris Slingshot is three wheeled car that runs for about $20,000 for the SL model.

The license requirements vary by state.

Some states classify this car as a motorcycle while others classify it as an autocycle which requires a state driver's license.

Whether you need a motorcycle license or driver's license will depend on what state you live.   My state requires a driver's license.

Since the car has no windshield it is recommended that you wear a full face helmet.

The Polaris Slingshot SL is 173 horsepower and is completely street legal.

It has power steering,  ABS brakes,  electronic stability,  and traction control.

It uses an open air cockpit that is waterproof so you don't have to worry about rain........ unless you don't like getting wet that is.

There are bucket seats,  a glove box,  sport suspension,  and 18 inch aluminum wheels.

This bad boy looks really sweet even from a distance.

With a GM 2.4 liter dual overhead cam engine this car gets 32 miles per gallon in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.

You won't get features like heating,  air conditioning,  or even a roof.

What you will get is a ton of fun.

I think I'm in love already.

We've been looking at videos of Slingshots for months now on Youtube.  I used to have a Ural deco classic with a side car, and she was my baby.  My Wife has MS, and doesn't have very good balance, so a 3 wheeler of some kind is needed.  Anyhow when I win the Lottery it's either a Slingshot, or a Can Am Spyder lol. Which do you think is better???

I definitely think the slingshot looks a lot cooler.   If you were to get a black one it would look a heck of a lot like the batmobile.
