Body protection in animals
To be able to survive, various ways can be done by animals in the form of body armor. Various types of animals have various ways to survive, either from predator's attack or from the ferocity of their environment. There are also animals that attack each other because they fight for territory and there are also animals that are hostile because they fight over their partners during the mating season. These animals have natural body armor which is divided into several types.

The first is a type of animal that has body armor in the form of hair growing on its skin. The function of this hair is usually to protect the animal's body from cold or hot weather. Hair is a thread-like organ that grows on the skin of animals and humans, especially mammals, where this hair usually emerges from the epidermis or outer skin, even though hair actually comes from hair follicles that are deep below the dermis. There is also a hair-like structure called a trichome, also found in certain plants. Examples of hairy animals are tigers, cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, hamsters, mice, bears, lions, rabbits, koalas, goats, and many more.

Next is the body armor in the form of feathers, feathers are an epidermal structure or outer skin that forms an outer covering which usually grows in bird species and the like. Feather is one of the main characteristics that distinguish Aves Class animals or birds from other animals. The fur is usually coated with oil to make it waterproof so that when swimming or raining the furry animals don't get wet because water and oil don't mix.

The next animal body armor is the shell, the shell is a strong one and is usually made of hard limestone so that it can protect the animal's body parts inside it from other animal attacks or something that is harmful to the animal. It can be seen clearly examples of animals with shells such as turtles, crabs, snails, hermit crabs, snails, turtles, shrimp, and many more, and these shelled animals usually have soft bodies.

The latter are animals that have body armor in the form of scales, it can be said that scales are the covering of an animal's body in the form of hard skin in layers and generally it feels smooth and has a hard texture. There are scaly animals that live in water, for example, fish, and there are also those that live on land, for example, snakes, lizards, etc.
