Little About Paper History
The media for writing from time to time has changed. Starting from the ancient Egyptian civilization using papyrus as a writing medium. It is informed that the use of papyrus as a writing medium was used in Ancient Egyptian civilization during the time of the pharaohs then spread throughout the Middle East to Rome in the Mediterranean Sea and spread throughout Europe even though there are a few obstacles, namely the use of papyrus is still considered very expensive. From the word papyrus, the term paper in English is known, papier in Dutch, German, French for example or papel in Spanish which means paper. So the paper as we know it today has gone through a long history of naming.

When viewed in history, the Chinese civilization that contributed paper to the world was Tsai Lun, who found paper made of bamboo that was easily available throughout China in 101 AD, where bamboo was widely grown in mainland China. Starting from the discovery of paper from bamboo, paper finally spread to Japan and Korea as the Chinese nations spread to the east and the development of civilization in the region, even though initially the way of making paper was a very secret thing that might protect the technology of their respective countries.

However, in the later days the paper-making technique was mastered by the Arabs during the Abbasid era, especially after the defeat of the Tang Dynasty troops in the Battle of Taro in 751 AD, during the Talas battle the prisoners of war taught how to make paper to the people. Arabs so that in the era of the Abbasid dynasty, after this incident, paper industrial centers emerged in both Baghdad and Samarkand and other industrial cities which then spread to Italy and India, then Europe, especially after the Crusades and the fall of Grenada from the Moors into the hands of the Spanish as well as to the rest of the world. So paper is increasingly recognized by the wider community and has developed until now with various technologies.
