Working on getting people to join Steem and I think something like Minnow Fund is the perfect tool to get them fired up for creating content. Trouble is still onboarding and actually get people's accounts set up. But after that, they need a good boost!

I kinda disagree with you on this "1 account 1 vote" thing, Jon.

First, it doesn't affect the reward pool as we know it now, it will still be stake-weighted.

We still don't know if votes for Oracles will be 1A1V or stake-weighted.

And we need the whitepaper to understand what kind of criteria an Oracle can use. Can it be based on an account's stake (either in SP or in that particular SMT)? Then a SMT creator can design a stake-weighted voting system for his SMT. Or at least certain boundaries based on accounts stakes.

Marketing is not so high on Steemit agenda right now and after reading [this post](https://busy.org/@lukestokes/a-comment-reply-turned-into-a-root-post) by @lukestokes, I've got some idea of what Steemit is really after and shared my thoughts in my post from Saturday.

Will other projects with better marketing become a challenge? No, I think they will actually help, provided Steem remains the better alternative. If it will no longer be the better alternative, all the marketing in the world can only postpone the inevitable, if focus is not on development.

This is my issue with 1a1v...mostly, it's way above my head LOL And I have no idea what they are planning....

But what about STEEM Power...What's the point of having it if my vote is regarded the same as someone who just joined and has no intention of investing in the platform.  

I like free market. I like capitalism lol . If SP is used to power the apps / SMT's....cool...But so far, I haven't found a clear answer to what SP will play in the future.

This is just speculation Jon, but my impression is we have just seen the beginning of the role SP will play: **projects which need SP to function will ask for delegations in return for SMTs**. Either in a sort of ICOs, or in a different form, it all depends on the exact form the SMTs will take and what can be done with them.

Don't worry, SP will continue to play a major role going forward, Steemit has 44 million SP, they are not going to make it useless.

Plus, on the Steem blockchain, SMTs and Oracles apart, nothing changes unless there's a hard fork for that. SP has the same influence for rewards and for voting witnesses.
