Heart Not Drawn (Haiku)

This was originally posted as a haiku, and then I read the wonderful *renga* comment from @dbooster. With his permission, I have added his perfect tan-renga to the post.

Much appreciated @dbooster! I think that is the first renga I've received! If you don't mind, may I copy and paste it above, with credit (and 50% of the payout for this post) given to you? I'd bet most of us have never heard of renga, and I'd be open to doing collaborations in the future as well, just to spread the form. What do you think?

I think you're right.  Probably only people who have read up on some of the details of Japanese haiku know what renga is.  I'd like to change that, actually, which is one of the reasons for the translated haiku I've been posting everyday.  On one of these posts I'll introduce some more details on haiku and the history of haiku and so on. 

Anyway, sure, go ahead and add it to your post. I'm glad you like it. And I like your idea. I've been commenting with renga on some other haiku posts from other haijin (haiku poet(s)) and will continue to do so. I was actually thinking a few hours ago when I woke up (I'm on JPN time) about a haijin collaboration here on Steemit. Perhaps some kind of haiku group and do a weekly/monthly/quarterly newsletter or online magazine with haiku, both our own and translated from the old masters. Perhaps a group first, or a tag? #thehaikupack. Forgive my rambling, I haven't thought things thru (or had my coffee yet), it was just on my mind.
