" 조고각하(照顧脚下)  "
발밑을 잘 돌아다 보아라.

신발짝이 어지럽게  나뒹구는 집안에   살림살이와 정신세계가 올바를리가  있을까?

이런 생각도 잠시 해보게 된다.

늦은 시간까지 일하고 집안일까지 맘에 들게 해낸다는 것....생활에 가장 기본이 되겠지만 피곤하다고 소홀히 하기쉬운    사소한일? 

신발 정리하듯 소박하니 정직하게  자기와  자기주변을  정리하라는  가르침이라 생각하게 되는"조고각하"

달리 생각 해보면
깨달음을 얻되... 현실을 떠나서는 아니된다는 의미같기도 하다.

깨달음(기도)이 현실과 유리된 채 겉돌기만 한다면, 그것이 무슨 소용이 있을까?
 
또한
조고각하의 참뜻은 자기가 서 있는 지금의 현실을 살피라는 말일 것이다.

행복을 멀리서 찾으려는 습성,현재에서 행복을 찾지 않고 미래에서 찾으려고 하는 나.

행복 
멀리 밖에서 찾을 것이 아니라, ‘지금 바로 여기 이곳’에서 내 일상에서 찾아봐야지....!
