Nifty Gateway was founded in 2018 by twin brothers Duncan and Griffin Cock Foster. In 2019, the founders of Gemini exchange were acquired by twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. As you know, the Winklevoss brothers were the first to come up with the idea of Facebook. The Winklevoss brothers sued Mark Zuckerberg and won a substantial amount of compensation. With this compensation, they invested in bitcoin. It is said that their profit after the appreciation of Bitcoin is more than $ 1 billion. In other words, we can say that the current owners of Nifty Gateway are quite famous names in the crypto world.
Nifty Gateway is a private online platform for art and music. The Nifty team provides NFT translations of the works of famous artists and musicians and sells them on the site. If you want to convert and sell your artworks in NFT, you must apply through the Nifty Gateway website.

The gas fee for transactions with Ethereum is quite high. At the same time, this means high energy usage. One of the best parts of the Nifty Gateway platform is that you don't have to use crypto money for shopping. A nice system has been set up, and you can top up your balance with your credit card. You can also withdraw your sales directly to your bank account. Thanks to this system, people got rid of very high gas payments. High gas fee means high energy expenditure. They are able to implement the environmentally friendly policy, which is one of the most important issues of the last period, albeit a little.
Not only can you generate NFTs and earn profits, you can also buy other people's NFTs on this platform and then sell them for higher prices and make a profit. In particular, it is possible to earn good income from the sales made in the limited time that the site organizes under the name of **drops**. Because you have the opportunity to buy the few produced works of famous artists such as Michael Kagan and Kenny Scharf at very affordable prices, and then you can sell these NFTs at a higher price if you wish. But I would also like to say that you have to be very careful. You may not be able to find a buyer and sell the NFT you bought to make a profit, at a loss, or you may not be able to sell it at all.
Another thing you should pay attention to is the commission fees. A substantial 15% deduction is applied to the NFTs you sell. 10% of this deduction is sent to the original owner of the NFT as a **secondary sale**. The remaining 5% is deducted under the name of site maintenance fee. It also means that if you are an NFT artist, you can earn extra income every time your NFT is sold on this platform's market.

## <center>Nifty Gateway: DROPS</center>
It is an almost daily NFT sale event. NFTs of famous artists, in cooperation with the Nifty Gateway team, are being sold. Sales are made in different ways: Drawing, Auction and Limited number of fixed price sales.
You can find out which artist's NFT will be sold on which day by clicking the **Drops** tab above while on the main page of the platform. You can buy the works of the artist you like here, or as I mentioned above, you can have the opportunity to buy these products, which are sold in limited numbers, to make a profit. You also need to pay attention to the duration of the auctions. For example, in the screenshot below, on September 24, **Alotta Money**'s NFT will only be available for 30 minutes. If you do not buy it within this period, you can buy it later from the platform market, more expensive than the investors who bought it within the specified period, or cheaper depending on the demand.

## <center>Next-Generation Smart Contract: ERC-1155</center>
ERC-1155 is a standard developed by the Enjin team. This standard runs on the Ethereum blockchain. With this standard, both fungible and non-fungible tokens can be produced. Today, ERC-1155 is mostly used in games running on the blockchain system.
The features of the ERC-721 standard, which are the standards used for NFTs, are also found in this standard. In addition, the missing or flawed aspects of these standards are completed with the ERC-1155 standard.
One of the features that makes this standard different is the verification process during the transactions. So what does this verification process do? When you send a token to a wrong address with ERC-20, you cannot get that token back and you will lose the token completely. Thanks to the verification process in ERC-1155, when we transfer to the wrong address, the token is sent back to our wallet.
Unlike other standards, many transactions can be performed at once in the ERC-1155 standard. Contracts are not created for each token or collection separately. This is very advantageous for projects that require multiple tokens in transactions. In this way, gas usage is considerably reduced. It makes it economical and efficient. For example, consider a game. You have 20 health potions in that game and you want to send it to someone else. With the ERC-1155 standard, all these potions are sent at once. If there were any other standards, separate contracts would be created for all of them and gas usage would be higher.

## <center>My Personal Opinions about NFT</center>
As time progresses, technology develops and people's lifestyles change. As a result of these changes, people's investment habits are also changing. NFT is one of them.
As we all know, there was a bull period in NFTs recently. We are still in this bull period. I think we are at the very beginning and have not yet reached the full potential of NFT. For this reason, I predict that the NFT market will become much more active with the developments to be experienced in the coming days.
Although it has only just begun to spread, many famous artists have already converted their works to NFT and sold them. Many users had the opportunity to earn high profits because of this situation. As developments like these spread, more investors and artists will enter the NFT market.
It also means an opportunity not only for investors and famous artists, but also for many talented artists who are not yet heard of. Before this technology, many talented artists could not get a reward for their work, as their names were not heard. Together with NFT, these artists began to be able to sell their works. I came across many examples of this on Twitter.
I can say that NFT is also an opportunity for me. I am interested in music and painting as an amateur. I've been thinking lately about putting my works on sale by converting them into NFT. I need to do some more research for this.
