###  The rainy season has arrived in Thailand.  This helps to cool down the temperature a bit!  But the new lockdown of two weeks in Bangkok is no fun!  All the shopping malls and museums are closed! I don’t have places to go taking photos.  So, I will show off my lazy orchid plants;  they have many leaves but no flowers!  I guess I have to wait till winter months.  Here are my orchids.

ตอนนี้หน้าฝนแล้ว ทำให้คลายความร้อนลงไปได้มาก อากาศแบบนี้ทำให้นอนสบายขึ้นมาก  แต่การล็อกดาวน์สองสัปดาห์ครั้งนี้  เราคิดว่ามันไม่แก้ปัญหาที่วัวหายล้อมคอกได้  เอาแค่ให้โอกาสแพทย์แผนไทย ได้ออกมาช่วยคนป่วยบ้าง สถานการณ์ก็คงไม่ถลำลึกแบบนี้. เขามัวแต่ห่วงเรื่องผลประโยชน์จากเงินค่าคอมกับเงินทอนจากธุรกิจยาฝรั่งกัน  คนไทยตาดำๆก็ต้องรับกรรมกันไป  ช่วงนี้ก็ไม่มีวัดหรือพิพิธภัณฑ์เปิดให้เข้าไปถ่ายรูปเล่น เราก็เลยต้องเอาภาพต้นกล้วยไม้ที่ไม่มีดอกมาโชว์ก่อน   เราถ่ายไว้เพื่อเปรียบเทียบตอนที่ถึงหน้าหนาวที่กล้วยไม้จะพากันออกดอก  ตอนนี้กุให้พวกเขานอนพักก่อน

Most of the orchids were given to my by and old friend as my new year gifts two years ago.  I had no idea what colours would these flowers be; I had to wait for them to surprise me.  This has taught me a very good lesson of being patience and acceptance.  Patience is not my strong quality as I am quite determined and decisive.  I always want to see results.  But I could not order these orchids to flower for me!  So when they suddenly blossomed in different colours, I was very pleased and grateful to nature.

I think I have learned a lot from observing nature and the cycle of plants and trees.  We have to be flexible and learn to adapt to changing conditions in nature.  I have learned to live with extreme heat, to deal with heavy rain and sudden flooding,  dealing with scorpions and small snakes.  Now I have a harmonious relationship with nature around me; so I have no fear of scorpions or snakes.  I just ask them to avoid the front yard and open space as my cats would be walking around and my gardener is afraid of snakes!  They do listen to my request, and I help them out whenever my cats attack them.

เราเรียนรู้จากธรรมชาติรอบตัวมากขึ้น  เรียนรู้ที่จะเคารพความเปลี่ยนแปลงของธรรมชาติ และปรับตัวเพื่อให้อยู่กับเขาได้อย่างสบายใจ  ตอนนี้เราก็เลยไม่กลัวแมงป่อง หรืองูเหมือนสมัยเด็กๆ  เราจะคุยกับเขา และขอให้เขาเดินทางผ่านหลังบ้านแทน เพราะหน้าบ้านจะมีแมวเดินไปมา และคนสวนก็กลัวงูมากๆด้วย. เราก็หวังว่าธรรมชาติจะมีความสมดุลย์และบริบูรณ์ตลอดไป
