My friends have helped me overcome all the adversities of my life thanks to their love and company, they make me feel sheltered and give me the strength to get up and continue on my way. It is a gift to be able to share my mood with trusted people, who are there to listen to me and encourage me. I have learned that a true friend is the one who knows how to understand you, being able to put yourself in your place, without judging you. Our way of being and behaving in the present is the result of experiences and inner learning that we do in the face of adversity. Although we are all unique and different, we can always share and enjoy each other's company. The challenge is to enjoy friendship with flexibility. There are friends with whom you can have a deep conversation and yet you do not share likes or opinions in other areas of life. Some are early risers and others are late-night. Some are athletes and others are more leveraged. Beyond these superficial differences, friends are those who offer their support, their smile, their silence, their conversation and, in short, their time and presence when you need it most. In fact, for me the true friends are those that make you grow, improve and mature in the way of learning that is life. Thus, friendship is the art of knowing how to care for the other, which is the purest love, since true friends only want the best for each other.
