Nice tips. I use these vacuum bags where you put your clothes in and then suck out the air with the vacuum cleaner. 5 T-shirts become as thich as a magazine. Great article!

A friend came from the States, she had all the things in such packages. Very convenient, almost no place.

making a list is always helpful. planning where to go and want to do is important. thank you so much @kaylinart . even sometimes i still forget things. 😂😂😂

I'm always a planner when it comes to traveling. Sometimes that means I end up bringing more stuff than I actually need... but I believe in being prepared. And, as you say, it tends to help us avoid having extra expenses along the way, having to buy things we've forgotten.

Also save quite a bit by buying food from local grocery stores, rather than eating out. It might not be as exciting, but you can usually find some really nice picnic spots.

Last year I bought some packing cubes for traveling. What a difference they made. I got them on Amazon - variety of sizes actually, and I found them to be even more useful than I was thinking. They helped me fit everything into the suitcase neat and clean. Makes it very easy to unpack as well (and still keep stuff in the suitcase, since everything is organized).
Of course, I start making a list 1 week if traveling overseas, or at least a couple of days for domestic. That way I always remember a thing or two to add to that list and when it's time to execute - my marker goes fast from the first to.. gazillion-th point. :)
Planning outfit is **another** page in my diary - I go as far as I **take** pictures with my camera and matching outfits (yes, my family laughs at me for doing that, but then… when comes the time to execute fast out-door outfit - abra-cadabra and I'm done!).

When I unpack at my hotel on vacation, I always realize that I missed to take that matching pair :) Always happens!

Kay,  Welcome back (after your rest :)   ).    Excellent tips.  From my extensive travel experience, may I suggest one more thing - Its usually best to carry some basic medicines (over the counter medicines) too.  In certain locations you travel to, these simple things like band-aids or eye-drops are not available and if they are then prices are exhorbitant.
