안녕하세요, 카일입니다.

입시경쟁이니, 취업경쟁이니 늘 경쟁이 일상화된 한국에 살면서
우리는 왜 이렇게 치열하게 사는가?
천연자원이 없어서?
인력외에는 경쟁력이 없어서라고 막연하게 생각했었어요.

인도네시아 자카르타에서 한달살기를 하면서, 동남아 여행을 하면서,
천연자원이 풍부한 그네들의 삶의 부럽단 생각도 해보고,

과연, 어느 쪽이 나을까 라는 고민을 했더랬죠.
근데 그런 고민은 저만 한게 아닌가 봅니다. ㅎㅎㅎ
그걸 보여주는 글이 있어서 공유드려요.

풍요로움도 좋지만,
부족함이 있어야 동기부여가 되고
발전의 계기가 되는 것 또한 사실인가 봅니다.

부족한 통장 잔고를 채우기 위해,
혹은, 부족한 나의 어떤 점을 채우기 위해,

제 생각에는잘 살고 못 살고는 결국 경쟁력, 사람의 경쟁력인데 그러자면 자원보다는 여러 아픈 역사를 거치면서 '국민의식의 수준'과 '교육시스템'이 개선이 안되는 게 가장 큰 문제점이 아닌가 생각합니다. 자원은 많으면 많을 수록 더 잘 살수 밖에 없고 자급자족이 가능한 나라는 더 잘 사는 정치를 할 가능성이 높습니다.
