Up your intake of delicious anti-aging foods

Anti-oxidants are something of a buzzword when it comes to natural wellbeing, and for a valid reason. They scavenge cancer-causing free radicals through out our body, which leads to enhanced health. Our aging process becomes also slowed down. Anti-oxidants can kill cancer, plus they even help improve memory. 
Here are popular anti-oxidant rich foods you probably have in your kitchen. 

**Spices**
Would it not be great if we were able to sprinkle anti-oxidants onto any bland food? The great news is that we can exactly do this! By weight, spices possess the maximum anti-oxidants of any foods. Only one teaspoon has an Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) of approximately 300, 000 units per 100 grams. Common spices packed with anti-oxidants include turmeric, rosemary, peppermint, cinnamon, and vanilla.   

**Chocolate** 
Despite being generally considered junk food, chocolate is full of antioxidants. You must check that you are eating the right kind of chocolate. Unsweetened cocoa powder contains ORAC values of 50,000, so you might create your own healthy chocolate by combining it with coconut oil, carob powder, carob molasse, cocoa butter and honey. When you are on the move, opt for dark chocolate, which still contains approximately 20,000 units of antioxidants.   

**Coffee** 
Depending on the brew time and bean variety, some have an ORAC value of around 17,000 units. 

**Himalayan goji berries and Acai berries** 
Himalayan goji berries and Acai berries contain approximately 25,000 and 18,5000 ORAC respectively. Blueberry, blackberries, and raspberry are also full of anti-oxidants. Raisins also contain anti-oxidants, especially if you buy raisins with seeds and even eat the seeds too.   

**Nuts** 
Nuts provide numerous health advantages. Not only are nuts a great snack which is rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fats, but they also provide plenty of antioxidants. Pecans possess an ORAC value of nearly 18,000, while walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, along with almonds are also good choices.
