Vaccine safety is important to anyone considering taking a vaccine. Yet, many assume that all vaccines are safe, for everyone, at all times, without question. It's very important to know what is and isn't a risk to health, especially when there are authoritarian law makers who are trying to force vaccines on people without their consent. Those most affected by these draconian measures are children.

A victory for acknowledging vaccines risks was achieved a few months ago. A lawsuit against the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for vaccine safety violations was won by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Del Bigtree, founder of Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN)  and the man behind the documentary Vaxxed.

The suit accused the DHHS federal agency of neglecting their vaccine safety responsibilities for 30 years, which they were supposed to be doing according to the law that was established but never followed through on. The government was charged with protecting the public, but they failed to do there job to ensure and improve vaccine safety.

This failure has implications for the rise in vaccine popularity and use throughout the world. There is a law that was established after the Vaccine Injury Compensation Act of 1986 which gave vaccine manufacturers immunity from being sued by the public. A federal vaccine compensation fund was set up to settle vaccine injury cases instead. In the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, a clause compelled DHHS to watch over the vaccine industry.

> (a) General rule
In the administration of this part and other pertinent laws under the jurisdiction of the Secretary, the Secretary shall-
> - (1) promote the development of childhood vaccines that result in fewer and less serious adverse reactions than those vaccines on the market on December 22, 1987, and promote the refinement of such vaccines, and
> - (2) make or assure improvements in, and otherwise use the authorities of the Secretary with respect to, the licensing, manufacturing, processing, testing, labeling, warning, use instructions, distribution, storage, administration, field surveillance, adverse reaction reporting, and recall of reactogenic lots or batches, of vaccines, and research on vaccines, in order to reduce the risks of adverse reactions to vaccines.

> (b) Task force
> - (1) The Secretary shall establish a task force on safer childhood vaccines which shall consist of the Director of the National Institutes of Health, the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, and the Director of the Centers for Disease Control.
> - (2) The Director of the National Institutes of Health shall serve as chairman of the task force.
> - (3) In consultation with the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines, the task force shall prepare recommendations to the Secretary concerning implementation of the requirements of subsection (a).

> (c) Report
> - Within 2 years after December 22, 1987, and periodically thereafter, the Secretary shall prepare and transmit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Labor and Human Resources of the Senate a report describing the actions taken pursuant to subsection (a) during the preceding 2-year period

They were supposed to be improving the safety and efficacy of vaccines through monitoring and improving the reporting of adverse effects of vaccines. Reports were to be made to Congress every 2 years, starting in 1989. ICAN suspects DHHS was failing to do this, and filed an FOIA to obtain records to prove it. DHHS blocked their attempts for 8 months, until a lawsuit was filed bu ICAN to:

> ***"force HHS to either provide copies of its biennial vaccine safety reports to Congress or admit it never filed these reports. The result of the lawsuit is that HHS had to finally and shockingly admit that it never, not even once, submitted a single biennial report to Congress detailing the improvements in vaccine safety. This speaks volumes to the seriousness by which vaccine safety is treated at HHS and heightens the concern that HHS doesn’t have a clue as to the actual safety profile of the now 29 doses, and growing, of vaccines given by one year of age.***

it's not even that DHHS has failed to send some reports int he past few years. They have actually never sent a reports in the whole 30 years that they were supposed to since the NVICA was established. And Congress never followed up with this procedure. Maybe no one cared. Meanwhile, the vaccine industry has carte blanche and can't be sued for vaccine injuries, and no one was working to make them safer like they were supposed to. The deception of vaccine safety has pervaded despite thousands of vaccine injuries per year, and sometimes they result in deaths.

One thing the DHHS has done though, is to promote and encourage the use of vaccines. They've spent billions and conducted regular reports aimed at increasing vaccination rates:

> ***"Regrettably, HHS has chosen to focus on its obligation to increase vaccine uptake and defend against any claim vaccines cause harm in the National Injury Vaccine Compensation Program (aka, the Vaccine Court) to such a degree that it has abandoned its vaccine safety responsibilities. If HHS is not, as confirmed in Court this week, even fulfilling the simple task of filing a biennial report on vaccine safety improvements, there is little hope that HHS is actually tackling the much harder job of actually improving vaccine safety."***

Will this winning lawsuit finally hold the DHHS accountable for their failures? Or will it just be a drop of meaningless truth for the political power structure and vaccine industry that continued to sell and propagate harmful substances through government immunity?
