Clearly many are not content with the arrest of Julian Assange, nor how the event came to pass. The only reason the arrest was possible was due to Ecuador revoking his asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. This was actually done by Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno, who terminated the 2012 asylum status, and also the citizenship granted in 2017.

As a result, British police stormed the embassy on April 11 and soon came out with Assange in cuffs. There has been outrage among those who care for freedom of the press and of the individual on one side, while others who follow authoritarian mindsets on the other who cheered on his arrest and wishing punishment for his publishing activities.

It also seems that Assange's arrest has stirred the pot of some who are fond of Assange or freedom, and decided to launch a cyber attack on Ecuador. The government of Ecuador is saying they have received approximately 40 million attempts to compromise "public institutions" and web portals. This attack began when they allwed UK police to enter the embassy to arrest Assange.

Shortly after Assange's arrest, attacks came *"principally come from the United States, Brazil, Holland, Germany, Romania, France, Austria and the United Kingdom, and also from here, from our territory"*, according to Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technologies Patricio Real.

Apparently Ecuador received threats from Anonymous and *" groups related to Julian Assange"*, according to he telecommunications ministry’s undersecretary of electronic government, Javier Jara. What followed were *volumetric attacks"* that haven't stopped.

These attacks are DDoS attacks, distributed denial of service, where servers are flooded with request after request to attempt to keep them too busy to respond to anyone else, thereby overloading them with traffic and shutting out anyone else who wants to access the server, such as a webpage. It's used widely, and exploits limitations of hardware resources to supply the demands.

The AFP reports the following among the targets: *"foreign ministry, central bank, tax authorities, the office of the president, and a number of other government agencies’ websites."* The data at these locations is apparently secure, and no theft or destruction of data occurred.

Speaking of cyber attacks, this is what a WikiLeaks and Assange acquaintance, Ola Bini, has been charged with in a bogus case in Ecuador. Ola is a Swedish software developer working and living in Ecuador. Due to their ties with WikiLeaks and Assange, he was detained and arrested for authorities last Thursday, just after Assange's arrest. They claims he was part of a gang of Russian hackers hwo planned to destabilize the country in retaliation for Assange's arrest. But he's not even Russian.

Two other people were arrested, alleged "Russian hackers". The reason for the arrests is related to an alleged "hackers network" based in Ecuador, which authorities are accusing Bini of belonging to. Ecuador’s general prosecutor said Bini is charged with *“alleged participation in the crime of assault on the integrity of computer systems"* and attempts to destabilize the country (whatever hat really means).

The evidence parades to media in Ecuador are non-evidence of any kind, simply hardware that anyone in software development and security would have, but it made for a good show to claim there was "evidence" when there wasn't. All they had to show was USB drive, hard drives, two-factor authentication keys, and technical manuals. But none of it has anything to do with hacks on Ecuador or the DDoS attacks.

Bini was arrested as he prepared to leave Ecuador for Japan. They falsely claim he was trying to flee the country after Assange's arrest. But the reality is that this was a planned trip that was mentioned on his Twitter account long before Assange was arrested.

Bini has allegedly met with Assange 12 times, which put a target on his back as the Ecuadorian government tries to get rid of anything WikiLeaks related. When President Moreno took power, the relationship between Ecuador and Assange turned sour. As Moreno tried to gain favor with the international money masters and wealthy governments, like the United States, he was looking to offer up Assange for kickbacks. This is likely why he has the 4.2 billion loan from the IMF/WB.

As such, Moreno started to refer to Assange as a *“miserable hacker,”* an *"irritant,”* and a *“stone in the shoe”* of his government. His plans have been to get rid of Assange in order to receive Western favors, and he got what he wanted it seems. The deceitful media plays into the claims of Assange being a hacker, as they repeat the baseless claims made by Moreno and Ecuador about Assange being guilty of something, while they ignore the ongoing scandals facing Moreno for corruption.

WikiLeaks further angered Moreno when they posted images of Moreno living in luxury with breakfast in bed and lobster. he previously claimed to his people that he lived a poverty diet of eggs and white rice as he hammered in new measures that led to thousands of layoff in the resource rich nation. The decision to oust Assange was welcome for the right and centrists, while the left saw it as a betrayal and selling-out to the imperialist globalist powers.

On social media, some suggest another possibility about the allege "cyber attacks". Maybe they aren't that bad, and are just a smokescreen and excuse for the government to keep fleecing it's poor populace while the government gains more wealth. They could even be a false flag to justify a crackdown, with bogus arrests and charges, as they've done to Ola Bini.

The credibility of Ecuador's legal and justice system is being tarnished with such false accusations and what they did to Assange. But then again, compared to all other government, it seems they are just playing the same games and setting the same standards for injustice.
