It appears the criminal investigation witch hunt for WikiLeaks and Julian Assange is still alive and well. Probes into the website's activities going back years are now underway, as Reuters recently [reports](https://www.reuters.com/article/us-wikileaks-assange-extradition-idUSKCN1Q42A3).

There is no official narrative about the WikiLeak investigations as of yet. But investigators have reportedly interviewed 'witnesses' that they hoped would testify against WikiLeaks or Assange, in an effort to build a case.

These 'witnesses' spoken about being approached in this vain attempt to fabricate charges. The U.S. didn't like having it's illusory image of 'greatness' exposed through the various leaks of military documents and diplomatic messages over the years.

Some 'witnesses' have even been threatened, or told they would have no charges brought against them if they would squeal on WikiLeaks. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'investigators' tried to pressure people into making things up, just to create  veil of credibility for trumped-up charges being put forth.

Assange already has secret charges filed against him, as revealed back in 2012 by a Stratfor leak, which quickly sent Assange into seclusion at the Ecuadorian embassy in London later that year. Just last year, the U.S. Attorneys office in Virgina bungled a request to seal charges for another case when they used Assange's motion to seal charges as a template and forgot to remove his name.

Reuters tried to get a word from the U.S. prosecutors office in Alexandria, Virginia, but they declined to comment on the obvious. We know there are charges, but we're not allowed to 'officially' know, ya know?

Since 2012, things have heated up for the secrecy of leaks published in WikiLeaks. In 2017, Vault 7 was published. This showcased the hacking tools used and developed by the C.I.A. Assange has conveyed his suspicion to some sources that these leaks are a main reason for the revamped fire to catch him.

Joshua Schulte, a former C.I.A employee, was indicted last year for allegedly being the leaker of these documents. He pleaded not guilty, but has been treated as a human-weapon of utmost danger and threat to those around him, starved,isolated and being chains to the floor.

Chelsea Manning was another leaker who was at first imprisoned, but later released by the Obama administration. WikiLeaks was never pursued because, rightly so, they are publishing documents like any news organization has done, like with the Pentagon Papers or Watergate. WikiLeaks isn't even American, so maybe that's why they think they can go around trying to bully them and charge them with something, anything.

Trump was praising WikiLeaks during the 2016 election race, since they were bashing on the Democratic party and Hillary Clinton. But several presidential aides have deep-seated hostility towards WikiLeaks, and are seeking to take them down. Assange is the top target. They are just tithing to get their hands on him to make an example of their abuse of powers to silence a force of truth that exposes their dirty laundry for the world to see.
