So.. I'm going to University

Hello everyone!

It looks like I'm **finally** going to University.

I decided last year that a life change was in order for me due to my life pretty much falling apart. So I decided to take the big leap and apply to a school in a different country!

As most of you who read these things of mine know, I am Canadian, my boyfriend @anarcho-andrei is an American and frankly at this stage in my life I am -exhausted- from doing this long distance relationship thing. So I'm uprooting my life, packing up my kiddo and moving south so that I can both have a normal life with my boyfriend and finally get that degree that I've been meaning to get for the past decade now. Two birds with one stone!

Yesterday I received my acceptance letter from Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama along with a scholarship of $4000 per year for academic excellence. I will be going into the Bachelors of Arts degree program where I'm going to focus on graphic design. :) I start this fall! So yay! :D

I am actually really excited. I've been stuck in a rut for so long just doing the same thing day in and day out with no motivation to better myself or push myself forward in life and found myself just caught in a vicious cycle of self loathing and depression but now I am climbing my way out of that pit! I'm hoping this helps my depression significantly and helps me achieve a better life for both myself and my son.

And honestly there is no one better to do it with than my boyfriend. Who is honestly a God send to me. He's been supportive of me since the start and is willing to take my son and I into his home and accept both of us into his life. And I'm forever thankful! I have a feeling that we are gonna rock this life thing together. :) I don't know what I'd do without you darling. Truly.

So now.. I only have like 6 million things to do before I make my move in the summer. Next month I'll be making a trip to Alabama to see my boyfriend, meet his daughter, meet some of you fine people of steemit and then I gotta scout out schools and programs for my son so I have a game plan for him. I also have to apply for my student loans so I can afford school (lol), sell my stuff, sell my house, quit my job and fix my vehicle and then I'll be good to go.

***Easy right?***

It'll be a good thing for me and for my son. To have a fresh start away from all the negativity. I have a good feeling about it. :) My parents think I'm insane and are usually against any plan I have for myself but that's nothing new. XD Here's hoping that everything works out the way I want it to!

So that's what's been going on with me! I'll be posting drawings tonight!

Congratulations. I know you will work hard and do well. Stay focused and keep those you love around you close to help you get through the tough semesters. Wow! Call me a stalker but I wondered how stuff was going with you two.  Congrats.  I used to live only an hour from auburn but on the Georgia side & our college competed with theirs. I have always heard what a great school it was. Good luck with everything, Don't get too overwhelmed and one day at a time!
