Excellent, Adam! I bought your book a couple days ago, as I mentioned in my blog post I wrote while purchasing it: https://steemit.com/anarchy/@libertyteeth/anarchy-sounds-beautiful-to-me-not-chaos-and-lawlessness-rather-no-rulers-above-the-law-and-get-adam-kokesh-s-book-freedom

Haven't gotten very far yet, cool to see excerpts here!

Wanted to add that I read Richard Maybury's excellent "Uncle Eric" series a few years ago, and recall two neat "origins" that he mentioned -- just curious whether you see it the same (and, perhaps you already describe it in the book!).

First, there were bands of productive people, and unproductive. The latter would ride into town, pillage, and ride back out to their lair. After a while, "all this riding is tiresome", and they set up shop in the middle of town. They also convinced everyone to call them "your honor" etc, as even if it's a lie, repeat it often enough and it'll be believed. Thus, the origin of government.

The second, brigands would set up castles in mountain passes and rob from the merchants who came through. After a while, they ended up settling on a "customary percentage" to steal from the merchants while they pass through -- and that's where we get "customs" from.

Most people don't think "customs" is theft, because they dutifully fill out their tiny little forms, and state "I have nothing to declare." However, the amount above which one needs to "declare" (i.e., inform on yourself so you can be stolen from) is constantly going down -- due to the Federal Reserve printing more and more money.

This money printing not only devalues the currency in our wallets -- it *also* has the effect of bringing more and more people under the government's thumb! If you have a car's worth of cash then you need to report; but ten years later, if you have half of a car's worth, you need to report! Or I suppose I should have used "ounce of gold" rather than "car" in the example, oh well. :)

Great to see you here, take care!
