ACEH BARAT - West Aceh Police Resort (Polres) sealed three hospital waste management buildings in the local district. Three hospital waste storage buildings sealed by the police were Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh General Hospital, Healthy Hope Private Hospital, and Montela Private Hospital.

West Aceh Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Raden Bobby Aria Prakasa SIK through Head of Criminal Investigation Unit One Police Inspector Muhammad Isral SIK said the sealing of the three hospital waste storage buildings was carried out since Friday (3/8).

We seal after the investigation of the building of hospital waste management, said Isral, Thursday (8/8).

Isral explained that sealing was done after reports from the public because the hospital's waste storage buildings were in the neighborhood, let alone hospital waste was very dangerous.

Until now, it continues to conduct investigations related to the building of waste management to ascertain whether there are criminal acts in the management of waste derived from drugs and medical equipment.

Meanwhile, Head of the General Section of the Healthy Hope Hospital, Toni Ronaldi, admitted that he did not know about the safety of the community on the existence of the waste management building.

He also explained that the building had only been a temporary storage place before the hospital's partners took solid waste to be destroyed elsewhere.

For liquid waste, we are already fit and there is a Waste Management Installation (IPal), even the permit already exists. Only for solid waste for storage buildings there is no permit, said Toni.

Toni explained that the existence of the hospital waste management has been around since 2015. According to the Department of Environment and Hygiene (DLHK), the Health Service and the Investment Service and Integrated Services One Door of West Aceh have seen the location.
