We watched Man City's hope of keeping up with Liverpool in the race for the EPL title suffer a setback as they lost to Wolves on Sunday. The loss is one that would be a very painful pill for Man City fans to swallow as their main title contenders Liverpool won the previous day to Leicester City 2-1 showing their stuff of Champions and keeping their streak of 17 wins in England.

Manchester City have now extended the gap between them and Liverpool to 8 points and Wolves certainly did Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool in general a huge favour. Man City will only have themselves to blame this season if they eventually lose the title to Liverpool as they have dropped valuable points this early in the season and it might come back to haunt them. In their opening 8 games they have lost 2 and drawn 1, while their title contenders Liverpool have won all their 8 games. These valuable points might turn out to be the deciding factor on who wins the league in the end.
