La Ciudad de México!!! Top 10 Cosas que ver y hacer!! NR. 1-5

<p>Esa es la primer ciudad mexicana a la cual&nbsp;llegué a conocer hace 6 años! El DF (Distrito Federal) es una ciudad impresionantemente grande con casi&nbsp;25 million habitantes.</p>
<p><strong>Tiene un montón de cultura - museos, buenísima comida - restaurantes/bares excelentes de todo el mundo, mercados - de comida y souvenirs y educación - las mejores universidades del país</strong></p>
<p>Es la ciudad más grande en el mundo de hispanohablantes y la más antigua del continente americano.</p>
<p>En su alrededor hay varios volcanos y montañas (los más famosos son el Popocatépetl &amp; Iztaccíhuatl) y esta ubicado a unos 2200metros de altura.</p>

<p>Antes de que los Españoles conquistaron México en este mismo lugar había una ciudad azteca llamada Tenochtitlán. Era su capital. La construyeron en una isla en el lago Texcoco. Los Españoles destruyeron la ciudad y cubrieron el lago más y más con tierra para poder poner mas casas encima.</p>

<p>Así que es una ciudad super interesante que tiene mucho que ofrecer!&nbsp;</p>
<p>Para mi era el primer choque de cultura llegando aquí solita con 19 años en 2011 desde Alemania ;)&nbsp;</p>
<p>La amo!!! Hay tantas cosas que hacer y ver!!!</p>
<h2><strong>#1 Teotihuacán (Nahuatl = lugar en donde el hombre se convierte en dios)</strong></h2>

<p>Esa ciudad se fundó aprox. 100 a.C. y era la ciudad más importante en todo meso américa hasta 600 d.C. Tenía mucha influencia y era la ciudad más grande de américa latina o a lo mejor de todo el mundo en esos tiempos con 200 000 habitantes. Después de las 650 d.C. los ciudadanos desaparecieron...todavía no se sabe por qué? - Pero cuando llegaron los Aztecas estaba vacío.</p>
<p>Está muy grande con 20 kilómetros cuadrados.</p>

<p>Entrando al lugar se camina en "la calle de los muertos". Al lado de la entrada se encuentra otro templo llamado "ciudadela" que se usó mas como palacio. Luego vas caminando toda la calle hasta que llegas a ver los dos pirámides grandes: la del sol y de la luna</p>
<p>La pirámide del sol esta ubicado en el centro de la ciudad y es la tercer mas grande del mundo (222 x 225 m +65m de altura).</p>

<p>Las dos se usaron para ceremonias religiosas y siguen siendo importantes para los Aztecas. De hecho el día que fui había una ceremonia como pueden ver en el video.</p>

<h2><strong>#2 Tenochtitlán</strong></h2>
<p>Como ya había mencionado: La ciudad de México se construyó encima de la capital azteca Tenochtitlán. La mayoría del sitio arqueológico está destruido o se encontró haciendo el metro abajo de la ciudad. Pero hay una parte oficial en el centro en donde se pueden ver todavía restos de los templos. Pusieron un museo mostrando y explicando&nbsp;como era la ciudad antes y cual fue su historia.</p>

<p>De hecho la&nbsp;leyenda de Tenochtitlán es la historia de como llegó el águila a la bandera de México. Algún sacerdote le dijo a su rey Tenóch que debería buscar un lugar en donde se ve un águila luchando con un serpiente sentado en un cactus para construir una nueva ciudad.</p>
<p>Encontraron ese lugar en una isla del lago Texcoco y empezaron a construir la ciudad en 1320.&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>#3 Parque Chapultepec&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Este parque tiene aprox. 678 hectáreas. Es obligatorio para cualquier turista visitarlo!</p>
<p>Aquí encuentran el único castillo de México! - Castillo Chapultepec, que esta ubicado en la punta del Cerro Chapulín. Además tiene tres lagos artificiales, muchos monumentos, sitios culturales, fuentes, areas de deporte y un zoológico.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>#4 Andar en Bici en Paseo de Reforma</strong></h2>
<p>El paseo de la reforma es la avenida más importante de la ciudad! Aquí pasaron muchas cosas importantes en la historia porque esta ubicado en el centro de la ciudad. Todavía se usa frecuentemente para manifestaciones, celebraciones, conciertos etc.</p>
<p>La calle tiene 14.7km de longitud y pasa por monumentos importantes como el Ángel de la Independencia, la Torre Latino America etc.</p>

<p>Empieza en los areas de Cuajimalpa y Santa Fe, pasa por las Lomas de Chapultepec, Polanco y el Parque de Chapultepec hacia el centro de la ciudad hasta que llega a la Zona Rosa, Colonia Juárez y el centro histórico.</p>

<p>Todos los domingos el gobierno cierra parte de las calles principales en las ciudades mas grandes del país para que la gente pueda andar en patineta o bicicleta. Las bicis se rentan gratis (en cambio de su credencial como depósito). Es una manera perfecta para moverse! - Lo hacen para luchar contra el tema del sobrepeso que es un&nbsp;gran problema aquí.</p>
<h2><strong>#5 Museo Nacional de Antropología&nbsp; </strong></h2>

<p>También un lugar que se tiene que ver!! Es el museo mas grande y mas visitado en México.... literal se puede pasar días aquí adentro viendo todo lo que tiene.. Es interesante ver las cosas arqueológicas y antropológicas como el calendario azteca y estatuas de los dioses maya, mascaras etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

The Spanish Version has better photos. I love that you're doing these bilingual. Soon I'll be more confident with my Spanish and do the same.

I've been here since last Friday and plan to be here a month. Your list is going to be a great tool. Some of these places are already on my but I'm considering checking out some of the others. I got enough time.

Yeah I try not to put the same pictures so people would check out all 3 articles! - You should! I feel like my Spanish is improving a lot since I am writing on steemit. You should also check out a lot of the other cities around DF like Cuernavaca, Tepoztlan!! I am sure you love Tepoztlan! - another magical village!.. Puebla etc... I already got back to Playa a few days ago and I leave to Germany on Friday :( - I would have loved to meet you! but your journey goes on right? Maybe we meet on my way from Panama - Chile somewhere!

When do you plan to do the Panama Chile travel? I'm thinking is going to be about 4 or 5 months to get to Costa Rica where I will likely be about a month because I have many loved ones there then I'll be in Panama for six months. 

Did you read my Kuna story? I'm going to spend time with my kuna helping him start a hostel and restaurant on his property in the reservation. Want to visit the indigenous? 

Is really easy to get from the reservation to Columbia... So, a brief of my loose plan. Jump in anywhere that sounds interesting to you.

Casi lloro con este post! jaja estuve en la ciudad de México hace unos años pero estaba pasando por un momento difícil en mi vida y casi no visite ningún lugar que hubiese querido (como la basílica de la Virgen de Guadalupe) pero si estuve en la plaza del ángel y la verdad que es muuuuy hermoso ese ángel jaja !
