This is a little reminder to self about trying to please all of the people, all of the time.  Lloydy-baby, you just can't.

I'm starting to get going again on organising some new events and community stuff and remembering that there'll always be "vital" people who can't make it on that day or at that time, or who can't quite afford *that* ticket price, perhaps if you could do it slightly cheaper (or who are put off by a cheap ticket price because they don't think anyone will take it seriously and so they won't turn up).

And whatever the content, there'll be folk who know (mostly after the fact) that it was wrong and you should have done it another way.  

And if you do please people, you just have to keep getting up and doing it again.  No resting on your laurels and basking in the glory of one good hour!

Some people forget very quickly.  Others hold it forever.  The other day I saw someone on FB moaning about something I was involved in about five years ago.  Wow.  It's their problem of course, if they're holding on to shit for that long, but still, it stings.

So have another cup of tea and keep on keeping on, Mr Community Builder. Keep on keeping on.
