The word of God says in 1 John 2: 1 **"My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin; and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous"**.

Jesus Christ is our defense lawyer because he was human, he lived in a family and knows the difficulty of facing temptation and being victorious. With his blood, he paid our bail since we are guilty of sin.

**Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who was tempted in all things according to our likeness, but without sin**.

The function of a priest is to intercede for the people, and our Lord is a perfect priest who, seated at the right hand of the Father, intercedes for us since he offered himself as a holy sacrifice. All of the above does not reflect that we must learn to intercede for our brothers, family, and friends, just as Jesus does.

Getting someone important to intercede for one is a desire not confessed by many. However, it is an act of reciprocal love because not only that they intercede for you, but that your work as a child of God is to intercede with the Father for the situation of your brother. As a clear example, we have in the first book of Samuel it is related that between David and Jonathan, son of King Saul, a true friendship arose that favored David when Saul tried to kill him since Jonathan interceded for him. (1 Samuel 20)

Likewise, we have an intercessor who always sets out our needs before God, and it is the **"Holy Spirit"** who intercedes like a mother for her son because she knows God in the foreground and he sends him to help us in our need because He knows what we need.

In the order of the previous ideas, we can conclude that our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are intercessors par excellence. They know us and also know what the Father has reserved for us, that is why we must approach him confidently.
