From the very beginning, Ondine resembles a fairy tale. We immediately recognize the already seen ingredients: a girl in danger, a man who helps her, a villain who threatens the new love. 

It's all under the mysterious circumstances. But, Ondine, fortunately, does not have the Discipline that is present in most of these films. He perfectly combines the elements of our childhood with the elements of our present. Innocence vs. Experience - something that reminds Blake. And not only this, but also a story about the people's past, which although it is buried somewhere deep, threatens to come out on the surface. 

Because of this, it is a kind of hope for people who have seen themselves in the worst light and who think they should not expect much in life. 

Although it sounds complicated, Ondine is primarily a story of love and the mysteries accompanying it, a story that is strangely magical but still superficial. That's why I recommend it to those who want to see a perfect and weird mix of realism and fantasy.  

Something that can not be found in blockbusters. It should be borne in mind that this is a film that, like the nests, tries to seduce and bring the audience into a receptive state. That's exactly what - the emotional commitment of the viewer - makes the movie so good. That, and the beauty present in every part, every scene. Beauty that serves not only to rinse eyes, but also to temporarily stay in a new world.
