Question to @steemchurch? I have friends who are good but are not Christians. I do not understand how
God can punish them, and not the bad Christians in the church. Is there hope for them?
This is a tough question. Honestly, I think that only God knows the answer. We can see both parts. God is loving and merciful, and even so He is also righteous. "Jehovah, slow to anger and great in mercy, who forgives iniquity and rebellion, although of no way will the guilt be innocent "(Numbers 14: 18a).

God is fair. There are many parables and teachings that tell us about final judgment. Many Scriptures affirm that few enter heaven (Matthew 7: 13-14, 1 Peter 4:18). The Bible also tells us that Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14: 5-6, Acts 4:12).

On the other hand, God is love. Will God show mercy? Will God look the intentions of the heart? Will your justice consider the circumstances (Romans 2: 12-16)? The Bible tells us "that in the name of Jesus bend every knee of those who are in the heavens, and on the earth, and below the earth; and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, for glory
of God the Father "(Philippians 2: 10-11). I do not think we can put God in a "box" and limit what He can do or what He will do. God is the definitive judge, and the God of hope.

### What we know with certainty is that through Jesus we are saved (John 3:16). In this life, we must live for God and share it with others. God, in His wisdom, will know what to do with those who have not accepted.

answering your question brother. There are things that we can not understand about God, but only focus on worshiping him. and may God receive all your worship. Blessings

>God is impartial brother @lso8 means he hates the mistreatment of the people, whom he created. The fact that God is righteous means that he can judge between good and evil, and administer justice according to His standards.

@hermannsol ·
It is a good question @Iso8...
God will punish both the bad in and out of the church. As for your friends who are good but not Christians, i will say this:
The word of God in the book of Isaiah describes our righteousness as filthy rags before the Lord God. Their goodness may seem enough according to man's standard but does not still meet God's standard for righteousness. There is only one way and that is in Christ Jesus. They need to become born again because their goodness without Christ will not save them. Christ is the only way.
Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.
(John 3:1-5)
