# you know  voting and curation work on steemit?
As we all know, Steemit is a great social network that not only gives you the opportunity to share your content, but can also be rewarded with a brain proof of concept.  This is done when other users choose content that impresses them.  two types of sound.  Pick and choose
Upvotes reward content creators based on the amount of voting power the curator has, the higher the voting power, the higher the prize, while downvotes reduce the prize the curator can receive.
