ColorChallenge MondayRed: Red passion flower

Color psychology says that red means passion. I guess this flower took the definition by heart that it adopted the color and definition into one as its name.

I saw this flower along the way during one of my walks in Benguet province. It was my first (and last up to this time) that I saw such flower and I cannot get over it. It looks so beautiful and I wondered what it was. It was on a a vine creeping through a wire fence surrounding a state university’s fish farm. I tried to figure it out from its leaves that look somewhat familiar but the name is not coming out so I just took photos.

I searched one of the photos over the internet. Thanks to Google Chrome’s image search function that it is now very easy to search more pieces of information about photos. This is done through right-clicking on the image and clicking on “Search Google for image” from the drop-down menu. I think all internet browsers should have this.

Okay. So I found out that the flower is a red passion flower. I was amused like, red passion flower? I grew up in a place with many passion fruits around even along pathways but all of them have white flowers. That’s it, passion fruit! It was what I cannot figure out with the leaves but now that I saw it on the internet, I realized that the leaves indeed looked like those I know but this one with red flower has wider leaves.

I eventually laughed at myself. How could I have not known? Apparently, passion fruit with red flower is rare in our country, or at least in the areas where I have been. The fruit is also [green when raw like those with white flower](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faZOo1hSG04). I wonder if it turns yellow when ripe. I also wonder if the fruit tastes the same as that with white flower. Maybe I should go back to where I found this flower and ask the university for a fruit sample.

By the way, please do not expect me to be supporting that blogger whom I discovered something about his blogs.  I am not really comfortable supporting a post that were just taken from someone else's work.  Besides, I may keep on challenging his posts with questions about those posts that he can not answer. I removed the upvoting requirement to relieve the burden for:
- #ccc members who have more posts than they can upvote at 10 X of their "qualified posts" (e.g. @cicisaja wants to use her upvotes in other communities or contests)
- the need to determine if a post is "qualified" or not
