@make-a-whale  is a community project to create a whale that always supports its feeders.  You support it and it supports you. It upvotes each member once in a 24 hour period. @make-a-whale will post each day, that post needs to be upvoted by each member. There is also a bonus 100% rotational upvote. 

We have worked out a scale that will make sure @make-a-whale always upvotes you with a bigger upvote than the one you used to upvote the daily post, if you post on average once a day. Thus, the fair scale ensure you always win!  

There are some members who support the project with larger upvotes and this is greatly appreciated! The more we grow the more members we can recruit and the larger upvotes we can give.

## The Daily Resteem!

Since we are a small group of awesome content creators there will now be a daily resteem. We will follow the same list as the Roundabout High Five upvote and resteem in that order. Share some love and some upvotes for your Mellow MAW members! Check out their post, comment and upvote if you like it!

## Bot timer change

<br>

Since a lot of member post about the same time each day they sometimes post a little too early and within the 24 hour window of their 1st vote. This results in their post not getting upvoted. We change our timer to 22 hours. This will be monitored to see if it works out ok.

## How to get more upvotes from MAW

<br>

The MAW Bot we have is configured to upvote each member once in a 22-hour window. This could be problematic as you may miss an upvote because you posted your post at 21 hours and 30 minutes after you last upvote from MAW. 

There is a way to get that 2nd upvote though, after the 22hours. If you open your post, click on **Edit** (you don't have to change anything) and then click **update** the bot will see this as a *newly* authored post and you will get the upvote on your post. So in theory, if you are a daily blogger you don't have to post at the same time each day. Simply edit and update your posts once a day at the same time.

## <center>NEW UPVOTING RULES</center>

In the past MAW has tried Steemvoter and Streemian, both gave us some issues in the past. Lately, Streemian is just extremely unreliable and Steemvoter has stepped up its game being extremely reliable. We have talked with the creators of Steemvoter and they assured that their system is pretty robust at the moment and the only reason upvotes might not go out is because of node errors. Lately, the nodes have been pretty stable (compared to when MAW first tried Steemvoter). 

MAW has been jumping back and forth a bit when it comes to the upvoting of MAW posts. We apologize for this, the steemit services have their own issues that are out of MAW's control. It was a testing phase. 

From now on you can pick how you upvote MAW:

Streemian is just too unreliable so we will eventually phase it out completely.

## 3. Manual upvoting - if you do not like using  Steemvoter you can manual vote.

#### **MAW will check the upvotes each SUNDAY. Skipping more than 4 per week will result in a reminder. Failure to catch up before TUESDAY will result in being removed from the voting pool for the week. Thus, it will be your own responsibility to make sure your upvotes go through to the MAW posts. =)**

MAW's final recommendation will be setting up a *Steemvoter* account. We gave both systems a run and honestly Streemian is great, when it works... It just has too much downtime to be reliable. 

Once again MAW apologizes for the back and forth of the automation testing. We have been testing and appreciate the patience. From now on we will stick to Steemvoter.
