### Wading river on Long Island's north shore. Small tidal river flows north into Long Island Sound.

### There is a dock and launch ramp for small boats only, close to where the river meets the Sound. Across the way are the buildings of the long defunct Shoreham nuclear facility.

A sign by the dock forbids wading in Wading river.  May sound funny, but there is a strong current with the rise and fall of the tide. Young kids or non swimmers could easily be sweep away and drown.

Wading looks good when the tide is right. I don't know how cold it is in summer but I'm damn  sure it's cold in winter. :-)

I liked the video, because it shows the moment in which the entrance of the tide begins, it is another spectacle of nature very interesting to see ... The truth that the river looks very peaceful and it seems that the warning that forbids wading the river, it's like exaggerated; but attention must be paid to warnings and the experience of area specialists.

No it's not exaggerated, When the tide goes out it flows very, very fast. Impossible to swim in. The video was just after low tide when the tide was just coming in. At high tide the water level will be 6 foot higher.
