Croatian State Archive is located in Zagreb’s city center, on Marko Marulic square on the number 21. It is known as one of the most beautiful city palaces with famous and rich history, more then century long...

Palace is work of an architect Rudolf Lubinsky and it opened it’s doors on 29th of November 1913., just one year before 1st World war. It is built in secession style and the interior was designed by greatest Croatian painters and sculptors, educated in Münich, Paris and Wienna... Maybe to mention just one - Vlaho Bukovac, whose canvas **Development of Croatian Culture** decorates south wall of the main reading room.

Place is best known as a student library (which is now - from 1995. - on different location) and national history archives of Croatia.

I enjoyed in the main reading room with my friend and colleague on culture congress...Today’s subject was *European year of cultural heritage-2018*...

In front of the main entrance you can see a big sculpture of *Marko Marulić*, father of Croatian literature, author of *Judita*, first integral Croatian novel published on Croatian language in Venice 1521.
