Garden Finally Comes Alive!

## It's been a cold, wet and miserable wait but at last my garden is showing signs of life.

The bluebells are starting to show in my *wild* area up the back.

Even my Rosemary bush has sprung some flowers which stupidly I did not even know they did!?! I mean I know plants flower but had never even contemplated Rosemary flowering. 

They are such cute little violet flowers

My *ahem*.. jaggy bush has also started flowering. After the flowering it has some amazing deep purple berries. When I first moved here i thought it was a Blackthorn but sadly not.

That didn't stop me immediately planting some Blackthorn seeds and i am hoping for some berries from it this year as it will be three years old this year! I shan't post a pic as it just looks like some spiky twigs at the moment.


Well, I had better add to the hoard by placing the two babies. Bacopa Blue & Grandaisy red. Looking forward to seeing them come up!

And last but not least a little pic of a Dandelion. I like to leave these fellers growing. You can eat the leaves dontcha know!

Very springfully (a word @ocrdu came up with) photos. Only recognise the last one. It is called '_paardebloem_' over here that translates to 'horseflower'.

And it can be eaten completely, like in a salad. Seems to be very healthy. Rabits love them. Guess it is a kind of aphrodesiac as well.

The seventies, oh wow that would be incredible. In Scotland without fail we get some really fantastic hot weather in May and each year we get excited thinking of the summer to come. Then after May it's all over cast and rainy! I am glad you enjoyed the little taste we had :0)

I've got a friend who always gathers up the dandelions. She makes a batter and fries the flowers to eat too.  I've never tried it but she says they're delicious.
So glad to see your garden growing!  My husband bought me a baby blueberry bush to plant at our new home. Now I have to keep it alive until then. (3 more weeks!  yay) LOL
