Dear Jesus,

Sometimes it’s hard to make myself be still and wait on You. I can get impatient at times, wanting Your answer now. As time goes on our culture grows more and more impatient, inventing and seeking out ways to make everything as easy and quick as possible. But this can never work with You. One must always wait on You, Lord.

Help me to do that, Lord, to wait on You. To be still, and know that You are God. The enemy may try to convince me that a delay in Your response to my cry for help means You aren’t listening, or that You’re not even there. But You are real, You are here, You are listening to every cry of my heart, even the words I leave unspoken. Help me to trust You patiently and reject Satan’s lies.

I love You, Jesus. I thank You that You are who You are – the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
