A cheerful dandelion poem for @jaybird who said “but isn’t that a weed?”

the honeybee loves the dandelion
& I love the honeybee.
Whatever is wanted by those that I want, 
is also wanted by me.  

you tell me it’s a weed?
you must know that bees we need. 
In order to save honey
& not to mention, seed. 

I can hardly imagine a sandwich
Without the products of the bees
which are the products of a flower 
which are the products of the bees

& that includes the vegetables,
the bread, the meat, and cheese.

so don’t talk smack of dandelions
blow their seeds into the breeze 😘

ps. honeybees do love dandelions (and they rock because they pop up early in the season) but they are not a particularly strong source of nectar/nutrients so make sure to plant a bee friendly flower garden that is !!
