**Hello everyone!**
First of all i want to thank to the steemit team who has offered a wonderful opportunity to learn about the crypto by running a project of the **[Steemit Crypto Academy](https://steemit.com/trending/hive-108451)**. As i am newcomer in the crypto world so i have to need understand about it more. So it is really very beneficial project for me to understand about the cryptocurrency. As i have already attend the lecture provided by the @yohan2on and i learned really a lot of things from him. After learning and understanding his lecture i also did my homework.
And now i have attended the lecture in the **[Steemit Crypto Academy](https://steemit.com/trending/hive-108451)** by the @besticofinder and now i am going to write  the home work which he assigned.
# Basic Terms Used In CryptoCurrency

There are many terms which are used in the cryptocurrency world but i have collected some of the important terms which are often used in the cryptocurrency and one should get the knowledge of these terms.
## Altcoins

Altcoins is not a name of any cryptocurrency. Altcoins means "Alternative Currencies" This is a term which is specially used to denote all the alternative coins of Bitcoin. Today many Altcoins are running in the market which are very stable and with heavy and  strong Trading volume. **Some of the Top Altcoins are given :Ether, Litecoin, Monero, Namecoin and Ripple**

A “stablecoin” is a type of cryptocurrency whose value is connected to another outside asset to make it more stable such as the U.S. dollar or gold. It is very beneficial to connect the value of any cryptocurrency with another asset such as gold. Because it maintains the value of that cryptocurrency. Otherwise the cryptocurrency may fall down. But it also has a disadvantage that the cryptocurrency may be shoot to the moon. In this way investors can earn more profit.
## Trading Pair

This is the foremost term to get know for the newcomers in the trading. If anyone do not know this term he can do nothing and he will fall prey to loss. And he will lost everything he invested. So everyone should know about the trading. Trading pairs means the different assets which can be traded for each other. Almost all the cryptocurrencies has their trading pairs through which one can trade them and can earn some profit by trading carefully.
As you know that steem is a cryptocurency and you are also familiar with this cryptocurrency well because you are working with it. Steem also has a lot of pairs through which you can trade them. There a number of exchanges which offers steem's different trading pairs such as **Steem/Btc , Steem/Usdt , Steem/Eth ...etc.**

## Bagholder

Bagholder is another important term which is used in the cryptocurrencies. There are a lot of Bagholder in the world. Bagholder is  a term which is used in the stocks. Bagholder means a person who has invested in any coin but he has holded it in his hand to see the market fluctuation. But at the end he losses his investment value . Basically he holds his investment to earn more profit but he does not know about the market flow and at the end he finds nothing. But sometimes a bagholder also earns more profit than others.
## HODL

There are many important terms used in the cryptocurrencies arena. The term HODL  is also very valuable in its respect. The term is really referred to a person who has invest in cryptocurrency and does not sell his coins but hold them. This is called HODL. It really a very tough to hold and wait the market for the good time. HODL is also rferred to those who do not care the market even the market rise or decrease they only hold the coins and tokens. 
## Sats

The main and important term which is used in cryptocurrency is Sats . It is the basic term in Crypto. I hope there is no one who is unfamiliar to the BItcoin which is the most rich cryptocurrency in the whole world. And as you know that Satoshi Nakamoto introduced this cryptocurrency and the fractions in the bitcoin are called as Satoshi . So Sats is a short name of the satoshi. It is used to denote the smallest fractions of the Bitcoin means to say to denote very very small value or approximate value.One Satoshi is equal to 0.00000001 BTC. So One Sat is also equal to 0.00000001 BTC
## Bear/Bearish

This terms has  also very importance in the trading and cryptocurrencies marketing. As you know that Bear is the animal and this term is derived from his name Bear.A bear swipes its paws descending and prepares to assault, subsequently turning into an analogy for market action under these conditions. Bear market is opposite to the bull market. In the bear   market the prices fell down. It happens because of the low demand of the items in the market and high availability of the items. So everyone become worried about the market prices and once it raise from the bear market they come forward again to invest in the markets.
## Bull/Bullish

This term is opposite to the Bear/Bearish term with the angle of the 180 degree. It means it is a market of high prices. The prices of the cryptocurrencies rises with high speed or expect to rise and investor become very happy.Everyone waits this bull market .There is no any specifis condition for this market.But the most usual definition of a bull market is a condition or situation in which price of any cryptocurrency raises by 20%, usually after a low of 20% and before a second 20% low. 
## FUD

FUD is a funny and serious term which is often used in the Crypto World. FUD  means fear , uncertainity , doubt ...etc. If someone says you Ethereum is a bubble then they have FUD with you. It causes the price of any coin to fall. Most people say to the newcomers cryptocurrency that the market will FUD you.
## Whale

It is an important term regarding cryptocurrencies. You have often heard that there must be a whale behind the price of this coin,which is controlling it at every moment and at anytime.Basically a whale is a person who has a lot of cryptocurrency so he has a control on the market of that specific cryptocurrency when he sells. Similarly you can learn this term, in the steem blockchain. In the steemit that person is a whale who has a lot of steems means to say thousands and millions of steems. He obviously has more control on the steemit than the other normal users who owns a very small amount of steems like me.
## Pump and dump

This is the most loving term in the crypto world and most of the people become successful to perform pump and dump. It is defined as that the group of people come together and decide to buy the cryptocurrency together. In this way they increase the demand of that specific cryptocurrency increased in the market and the price of that cryptocurrency also go high.Then people sell their coins and cryptocurrencies and dump the coin. It can do anyone even you. You just have to buy specific cryptocurrency at large amount and viral this news that specific cryptocurrency seems to go up. In this way most of the people will buy that specific cryptocurrency and in this way the demand of that is increased and now you can sell your cryptocurrency and can earn a lot of amount by simple tricks.
