It is important because so many people thought it would never work or last. Many felt burned by Tsu. Well things are not perfect here, that happens when humans are involved, but it is still a work in progress.

Totally agree, Tsu was an early attempt to reward content producers but it didn't have what we have here and as you say it burned a lot of people. 

I never took a cent out of Tsu but gave the money I made to a disaster relief fund. God knows if the fund got the money?

The steem block-chain has changed everything. 

As time moves on I can see many more people supporting the network by building and running their own nodes like the initiative by Dtube and  steem-engine for users to self host their own versions of Scottube.

It's a very smart move imo. 

This is still just the beginning of this technology and here we are, old hands already 👍😋
