*On this occasion I would like to share the routine of people in pedalman Aceh who make export commodities pinang as economic support society so far.*

*Pinang has become an Acehnese plantation plant in the interior, and the unique community in Aceh has no specific method in planting this export plant. The betel nut is thrown in the empty plantation area and grows by itself  (Tanah kita tanah surga,Kayu dan batu jadi tanaman, kata Koes plus).*

*Here are the various activities of the residents when drying and peeling pinang in one of the interior of northern Aceh, precisely in Geuneong pasee district. The sub-district is still a young age is a sub-district born after the peace Mou helsinky in Finland. Majority of the community here make pinang as plantation farming sector besides oil palm, rubber and also cocoa.*

*The enthusiasm of the residents is seen from almost the whole house of the residents used as the drying area of pinang seeds after being harvested from the trees, not even rarely making the road and sidewalks of the bridge as an area to dry the areca nut ready for harvest. Drying on the asphalt and sidewalks of the bridge turned out to have advantages over drying the house. Hotness levels are more than maximum and this greatly affects the decrease of pinang water content quickly and makes it easier for them to peel.*




*Peeling pea activities have also become a routine gathering of residents from one home to another, this became one of the many jobs done women who live in the interior of Aceh. Peeling peanuts earn Rp.2.000, - per kilo and on average they are able to peel 15 to 20 kilograms per day. Of course this is very helpful to the economy of the people who live as a housewife.*

>*Pinang is still a commodity export icon in Aceh province, Pinang Aceh has been exported to several importing countries of areca nut such as India, China and also American countries such as Canada. The increasing need of imported areca nuts by developed countries as raw material for the manufacture of food and coloring for the textile. This is a boon for areca farmers in Aceh who depend on their financial economies through this plant. Pinang price is relatively stable in the market and now has a price of Rp. 15.000, - kg*
