Maybe the language we have makes humans the creatures which are this strong, coordinated and social.
So, which one is our language organ in your opinion? Language is brain stuff--not tongue, lip, ear, or hand stuff. The language organ is the mind. Tests have demonstrated increased neural activity in parts of the left hemisphere when subjects are using language.
Studies that have been done till this day have shown that the 3 specific cortical fields and the connection paths
between them play an important role in the development of language. These magical fields are;**Wernicke field, Broca field, Angular gyrus**.

**Wernicke field:**
It is located in the rear half and upper level of the superior temporal gyrus. All senses are transmitted here after they have been mixed with the older information in the memory and have been interpreted.
Here, all the information will get reinterpreted and the words to be used in speaking will be chosen. The chosen words will be meaningfully coded. Then it will be sent to the **Broca** field.</p><p><div class="pull-right">![slide_1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSz13dDhZ9BpDRZ9ZKbKz8VyUu5hZ7dDKgRK4zkx7RNzX/slide_1.jpg)</div><p>
It is located in the frontal lobe. It is the motor speech field. *Primer motor cortex* is located right in front of the lips, tongue, velum, pharynx, larynx which are fields associated with the formation of sound.
**Broca Field**
This is the field where the motor templates for expressing words and short sentences are created. The coded signals are transmitted here from the Wernicke field. The Broca field plays a role in translating the sound and codes created by the neighboring fields into words and transmitting these words to the vocal cords.
**Angular Gyrus**
Functions like writing what you hear, the ability to write the name of an object you touch or see and reading take place in this field.
• And the paths between these fields interacting with each other in different combinations emerge the talents like speaking, understanding what you read, repeating, and writing.

There are 3 different connection paths, these are; connection path between Brocka and Wernicke, the connection path between Wernicke and Angular Gyrus, the connection path between the fields Angular Gyrus and Broca.</p><p><div class="pull-right">https://media.giphy.com/media/IbZ52ZXMyNV9m/giphy.gif</div><p>
#### Connection path between Brocka and Wernicke:
Uninterrupted conversation as speaking and hearing is made possible by this connection. Also, this connection ensures correctly repeating what you hear.
#### Connection path between Wernicke and Angular Gyrus
It ensures the function of comprehension. This connection which is existent by anatomy when you were born gains functionality with education after learning reading and writing..
#### Connection path between the fields Angular Gyrus and Broca
It is a part of the Superior longitudinal fasciculus. It's most important function is to make ** reading out loud ** possible.
There is a need for 2 types of connections to make speaking possible.
1) The connection between the fields of Primary motor cortex that are associated with speaking and the Broca field
2) Connection between Broca and Wernicke
Pathologies in these connections caused by a stroke can lead to speaking disorders. I will talk about these speaking disorders in my upcoming posts. Bye for now..
