It has been nearly a month since I joined STEEMIT. If I had spent this much time at my job doing extra work, I would have made a few thousand dollars. So far I have made one hundred in account value here. So real life math

So I had to look deep inside me to understand why am I content and happy. The answers were easy once I took some time to ponder this. I did not want my mind to conjur up justifications and i had to put that at the forefront of all analysis. 
Here are **MY REASONS**

 THE JOY OF WRITING
My schooling was through University of Cambridge, UK. One of my majors was literature in English. As part of education we had to read 4 books per week and write a gist on each. It seems a lot but it truly joyful. One day in yesteryears I somehow got a job and it was all over for literature and writing. This opportunity to write small senseless but from the heart pieces on steemit has brought back fond memories. I am cherishing the feeling. 

 THE WONDER OF WRITING
I write on steemit here and there and I like it. It ends there. When I give myself the chance to think about why I enjoy it, I give myself the chance to explore and understand myself. Know thyself and you will be unbeatable. Not knowing onseslf makes you vulnerable. It is complex to explain in this short post but many of understand this. Knowing your limits, knowing your weakness and knowing your strength makes you limitless. 
In the same way writing about something reveals a kaleidoscope of perspectives on the subject and you see the beauty of it so much more vividly. It enriches in every way. 

 THE IDEA OF COMMUNICATION
It has been said that the greatest illusion about communication is that it has taken place. I am new and I have a very few followers. Almost nobody reads my posts and I barely make a penny or two. I see other posts making hundreds of dollars. Great. So now I have a goal that I can aspire to. One day I wish my post to become relevant and important. I must learn to communicate better each time I do a post. It will make me grow. I will become a better communicator but it won't be just on steemit. It will affect my every communication in daily life. What more can I ask for. 


THE EXPANDING HUMAN EXPERIENCE
We are tribal by nature and by the nature of our life and work. I take pleasure in the company of my staff and Coworkers. Yet I can almost predict tomorrow as I have done this with the same people day after day after day. It is delightful to step into a world of unknown and unheard and often exciting people and their thoughts. I can pick who I choose to hear from again and follow them. I can comment and get replies. As the platform expands and videos are added, etc, it becomes more personal and more tangible. This platform takes me beyond what otherwise my reach would have been. It is like going back to school and enrolling in a class called HUMANS. I recently commented and advised someone on a NSFW post. That's learning HUMAN. 

So my dear friends and soon to become dear friends, I am here to stay. It is not the jingle of pennies that attracts me. It is the learning of you and the learning of my own self that makes it all meaningful.
