Esta es mi participación en la octava entrega del **Concurso de fotografía Cervantes**, cuyo tema es una interpretación de **"La naturaleza que te rodea"**. El infrarrojo no es captado por el ojo humano, pero si por algunas cámaras usando filtros especiales. Este tipo de fotografía arroja todo un universo diferente, al que estamos acostumbrados. Lo que aparece más brillante en la imagen es porque refleja más esta parte del espectro de la luz, mientras lo oscuro se debe a que lo absorbe. Por lo que las hojas de la vegetación salen en blanco, en particular el césped parece nieve en las imágenes. Mientras que el agua se ve oscura. Vale la pena mencionar que la vegetación tropical, en particular las palmeras, reflejan muchísimo el infrarrojo, mientras que la vegetación de los climas templados absorben más esta radiación. <center> [](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYiXd54mzDfSquP9sT1sMYLhxwSbsms7xm4JzYbhLkWGZ/usb-ir-03.jpg) </center> Todas las fotos que muestro aquí son tomadas en los jardines del campus de la **Universidad Simón Bolívar**, en las afueras de la ciudad de **Caracas**. <center> [](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRDWmEvYrZxPZGqJ5XfW8cGptM92RWnw1KWecmgBKeo1i/ir-shadow.jpg) </center> En esta última imagen se puede observar los diferentes tonos de grises en las diversas plantas, como ya se mencionó esto se debe al grado en la absorción/reflejo del infrarrojo por las plantas. Por lo que este tipo de fotografía muestra una realidad muy distinta a la que vemos a diario. La fotografía infrarroja es bastante técnica y requiere largos tiempos de exposición a pesar de realizarse en pleno día. El equipo usado fue una cámara Sony DSC-F717 y un filtro Hoya Infrared R72, claro está que se requirió un trípode en estas tomas. <hr> <hr> <center> <h3> Concurso patrocinado por el witness @cervantes.
