Upcoming Korean thriller coming to Netflix- YES!
I'm a big fan of Korean cinema, and share this preference with everyone that will listen but I understand why, for the most part, their films and series don't get much widespread attention. They simply don't have the budget to create epic films and this can work against them as they rely on great acting rather than massive amounts of money... some would argue this is a better type of film-making than the CGI-fests that are most Hollywood blockbusters.

Now that *Parasite* has given Korea international attention, they seem to be more willing to go for a global audience and this one, which is being released in April globally, could be a real winner.

Directed by Yoon Sung-Hyun, who received great praise for writing and directing 2011's *Bleak Night* this upcoming dystopian drama was delayed and then shelved altogether due to the fact that no one is going to cinemas and there was some concern about people being triggered by an "end of government" scenario that the film is filled with in light of the coronavirus business.

Netflix recently picked up the exclusive rights to air *Time to Hunt* and it will be released on April 10th.

If you are one of the few people out there that is still refusing to watch Korean films because you don't like the idea of reading subtitles, perhaps because it makes you look away from your phone for a bit, it's time for you to get past that. Korean films really are a completely different type of cinematic experience and while I obviously haven't seen this film yet, I am predicting that it will be different from the usual Hollywood action experience.

Is this the beginning of a Netflix / Korea relationship? I certainly hope so.. If this obtains widespread appeal we could be looking at an agreement that could introduce the masses to the wonder that is Korean film-making and trust me, it is a wonderful thing.
